After Chrome, Google have announced that they will release an operating system called Chrome Operating System.<\/p>\n

An open source operating system (they will open-source its code at the end of this year) which is a new project, separate from Android><\/span> because Chrome OS is based on Linux kernel. According to Sundar Pichai<\/span>, VP Product Management and Linus Upson<\/span>, Engineering Director, speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Turned 100% towards web<\/span>, the idea is to have an operating system which will start up in a few seconds and will instantaneously connect with Internet in order to access web applications without users have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Scheduled for the second half of 2010, this operating system will initially be targeted at netbooks, it will run on both x86 as well as ARM chips.<\/p>\n

You have certainly understood, this OS won’t probably be designed to use software such as Photoshop, Gimp… or to play with your favorite video game.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, there are many online tools (free or not) like Photoshop Express<\/span>, the online software suite Aviary<\/span>, Sumopaint<\/span>…<\/p>\n
